My Vintage DIY Wedding
My wedding is quickly approaching and all my DIY projects are coming together little by little! In the meantime, here's my Save the Date design that I'm really proud of. I've always wanted to step outside of my designer-comfort-box and experiment with collage design with a vintage look!
The hotel venue looks eerie from the outside but the interior and the backyard is gorgeous. There is a saloon downstairs where they serve amazing food and cocktails. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Los Alamos, CA.
Everything felt right about this venue. The manager, the feeling you get when you walk inside, the aesthetic look, we can rent the entire place for the weekend, Michael Jackson filmed here, good food and cocktail, and the speakeasy entrance! When they opened the bookshelf that led to a secret vintage makeup room, my fiance had to pull me aside to calm my excitement down... I am a sucker for good speakeasy entrance. We booked the place right there and celebrated at the bar downstairs with some locals. What an amazing way to start our crazy wedding planning adventure!
The paper flower class my sister got me for my birthday was put to good use. I'm very content with the overall look especially with the combination of real greens and baby's breath. The hours I've spent watching Netflix while I burned my fingers (and my thigh) from the hot gun will be worth it once I see the finished look in November.
